Ok fellas,

We did a pretty big remodel during COVID but didn't touch the master shower/tub. We currently have a relatively smaller shower and a jetted tub next to it. My plans are to demo it all and put in a huge walk in shower (with his/hers shower heads/rain heads). Has any of my fellow miscers done a recent shower remodel? I won't be doing the work myself (currently looking into GC's), but looking for ideas and suggestion.

I'd like to reduce the amount of glass used in the project and would like a walk in without a door.

Our dimensions will be roughly 10' long by 4' wide.

Below is what I'm envisioning but with pony walls on both sides. We do not have a vanity on both sides like that though.

With no door I'd worry about it feeling drafty. Maybe it's not an issue though, I'm not an expert. The pic is just a stock photo right? I would put the his/hers shower heads closer together so you can both be under the water and still close together.

I'm not a plumbing expert, but when we built our house a few years ago we did a shower big enough for two with his/her shower heads and it has been worth the money. Overall, one of the better splurges we made building the house.

Yes, stock photo, I've yet to find a design of what I specifically looking for.

The way our bathroom is designed doesn't easily allow for the shower heads to be closer together, unless we didn't use the entire wall and then we'd end up with a random void at one end of the wall.

Just an FYI, you can't call it 'master' bathroom anymore. It's 'primary' bathroom. Too many fragile people got hurt by that word.

Also, I had grab bars put in and a bench. Plus non slip tile used in commercial kitchens. It feels like you’re standing on sandpaper. I’ve fallen a couple times in my old shower. Gotten a concussion and broke my elbow. This fixed that. I’ve had numerous operations on my hip so I wanted something more convenient when I’m recovering.
