I notice Israel isn't on that short list, but Biden surely doesn't want to end up JFK'd. I have zero complaint about this at all. Whoever on Biden's staff who made this decision did a good job.

i assumed they had it from 23 and me, as well as appliances and other items with backdoors calling home.

Good message about the importance of the issue, but unfortunately it will likely accomplish little to nothing. For one, if we don’t get rid of TikTok or other similar platforms then they’ll have TONS of data for free. This is particularly true for lazy Americans who do nothing to restrict collection. Imagine thinking that we can slow data to China while there are over 100 million active TikTok users in this country. Also, there is this issue:


As the White House points out, there are currently few regulations for the multibillion-dollar data broker industry.The order will do nothing to slow the bulk sale of Americans’ data to countries or companies not deemed to be a security risk.

BRB - Peruvian entity buys it then sells it to Chinese entity for a small(or large) profit
