No amount of money is worth joining a cartel. You have to look over your shoulder for the rest of your life and got to keep ya goons in check so they don't kill you

read a book about a guy who was an it guy for the cartels. he thought it would be a pretty sweet deal as he wouldnt have to get his hands dirty doing anything.

he was wrong and ended up getting heavily involved and they wouldnt let him leave. This was in columbia too so those guys werent playing around.

Eventually he had to rat them out and escape with his life. That in itself wasnt easy either as they had a tight leash on him. great book.
