So women were superior because:
-estrogen allowed for better energy management and adiponectin prevented muscles from wasting away.
-Women's hips allowed for better rotational movement and allowed for easier walking/running movement and longer strides compared to men.
-skeletal remains of females showed damage/wounds which means they must have received while hunting.
-some tombs with female remains had hunting gear/weapons which probably means they were great hunters or revered for their hunting skills.

I don't deny that women had to participate in hunts during lean times especially when food was scarce and everybody had to pitch to survive. But to claim that women were superior hunters compared to men is just stretching it. Women still have estrogen and adiponectin today but that doesn't translate to superior athletic ability vis a vis men. If anything, estrogen, adiponectin, wider hips etc were all needed to endure the difficulties of pregnancy, delivery, and care of infants.

Somehow they were able to spend a large portion of their time on the move, hunting, and scavenging. And they also managed to do this and keep up with wild animals while towing/feeding/taking care of their babies. Maintain a high enough bodyfat to produce milk, etc. Then what happened? Women suddenly devolved into being inferior to men physically and reverted back to being the gatherers that stay around camp?





Women in hunter/gatherer societies are almost exclusively gatherers. Men are the ones that go out hunting. Women stay around camp/gather/assist/tend the kids. There are still hunter/gatherer groups in place now. And we can see that's how they function. Furthermore, we have lots of documentation with European contact of various groups across the globe. That's simply how the societies work. Women simply don't have the strength, stamina, and hand-eye coordination that men do. And their responsibilities are more along the lines of birthing/raising/taking care of children and the 'home'.
