Apple’s Think Different Ad Campaign Quote
Here’s to everyone on here who doesn’t believe I work in tech or played college tennis, or graduated, Magna Cum Laude, etc. I’ve been blessed to have inherited my parents’ intelligence.
—————-
Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.
Steve Jobs (1955 - 2011)

It was a great ad campaign with photos of Bob Dylan, Einstein, Martin Luther King, Jr., Amelia Earheart, etc.
Of course I fit right in with those folks
It was produced by Chiat Day, who also produced Apple’s 1984 ad campaign.
Man I miss working in advertising back in the 90s.

Apple had such a different feel back when Steve Jobs was at helm. That quote says it all really, completely polarizing to the kind of attitude leading big tech today. It's no wonder true innovation is pretty much extinct, all those rebels, troublemakers, and misfits have been forced out in favor of sycophants. Thinking different isn't acceptable when you are expected to conform to the authority.

He was tough to work for and there are stories about the early days of Apple when he had people working 24/7. He demanded a lot from his employees and a lot of people were afraid of him, but he was a genius.
That's true about the people in the list:
Albert Einstein
Amelia Earhart
Miles Davis
Jim Henson
Jane Goodall
Mahatma Gandhi
John Lennon and Yoko Ono
Cesar Chavez
James Watson
Pablo Picasso
Of course this was in the late 90s. Who are the rebels and the misfits now?

Apple almost crashed and burned in 1996 but Steve saved the company. I can't see it crashing and burning again anytime soon given that the company is a marketing genius.
