switch 2 and ps5 pro are gonna be 2025 launches if there isnt any info on them yet

if true what major games will be released for ps5 and switch this holiday season?

i see a gta 6 ps5 pro launch title as well as metroid 4 prime as a switch 2 launch title

The PS4 pro was announced in like a September and launched a month or 2 later.

Low IQ thinking, announcing new hardware too early negatively effects sales of current hardware.

All "reliable leaks" says PS5Pro is happening 2nd half of this year.

Doubt the PS5 pro will be worth it. Don't expect a jump like PS4 to PS4 pro.

I'm not so sure this time around. The ps4 pro added HDR and 4k so there was something very tangible to the upgrade. What is the ps5 pro supposed to do? I bought a ps4 pro but dont think im going to this time.

And the switch is already pretty much confirmed to be 2025 now.

Nah, most people this gen prefer performance 60fps modes by far. If you can give them that with much better image quality they will be happy. There's a number of us even in this small sub who would switch on day 1.

Most people playing on PS5 pick performance mode. Gamers aren't that dumb anymore. It's like saying PC gamers don't know there are a ton of settings to alter graphics. Of course they do. On console there are two choices, if gamers are smart enough to have 4k TV's they definitely know how to choose one of two graphic options.

Also, you forgot how many people on console play online games like COD, Helldivers, FIFA, Tekken etc and those games all default to performance mode. Those also include Sony 1P games like Spiderman and God of War.

If I remember right PS4Pro was 10-20% of overall PS4 sales, which is very significant considering it's later release and drastically lower R&D cost, it was also much more profitable hardware for Sony, and kept people from jumping to a more powerful Xbox or PC. Even if it only makes sense to 10% of the audience, it makes a ton of sense for Sony;s business. Simple stuff here.

We all know most the games the PS5 Pro will be marketed towards will be remasters or "definitive editions" until they become remasters or remakes.

Switch 2 could be interesting though, I haven't had a Nintendo since the Wii.
It should be a decent jump over the Switch. I'd be surprised if there is a Switch 2 though.

It doesn't matter what they pick, I usually pick performance but I'm not buying a ps5pro.


The average gamer that just plays cod and madden is not gonna shell out another $500 for maximum frame rate.

You vastly overestimate how sophisticated the typical gamer is, they do not care about this chit

You cannot be this dense. Of course the PRO console is not designed for the average normie like yourself, just as the iPhone 15 pro max isn't for the average phone user. You're too much of a simpleton to understand that even though it's not for you, there's a decent chunk of us who want to upgrade.

The pro console will be designed for that niche segment of the userbase that 1. Have the money and 2. Desire the best specs possible. Last gen, this was about 15% of PS4 customers and Sony was happy enough with that number to decide to do it again.
