Do You Have Issues Playing Female Characters?

I know people who said they dont like playing female characters because they cant relate. While some refuse because they dislike any women except for sex and making sandwiches.

Meanwhile, many esp in MMORPGs play as women.

Bout you guys? Do you have issues playing as women characters or you don't mind?

If given a choice I choose male. If not given a choice, it depends on how woke the game is and how much it beats you over the head with the girl boss who can do no wrong chit.

Horizon Zero Dawn - Surprising how normal that game was and I had no issue with the characters. Great game, got me hooked.

Horizon Forbidden West - still playable to me but I started seeing the cracks and the forcing of modern diversity... To the point that characters in a remote tribe were talking like modern LA zoomers. The Burning Shores turned it up even more and pretty much at my limit.

If it gets any worse than that I just don't have it in me lol.

No, it just depends on the game. If I'm trying to be super immersed, I'll usually go male for the first playthrough. Every character after that, just depends.

For a game I'm less serious about like Palworld, I'll make a female character first.

For fighting games, I've been playing Chun Li since SF2, so I definitely don't care there. Same for games with a singular female protagonist like Metroid or Tomb Raider.

In games like Monster Hunter, where you pick your character, I sometimee try to make the hottest female chick I can.

And then in Starfield, I made the ugliest female character I could, modelled after Ms. Swan for the lulz. But the dumb game doesn't allow Asian eyes for some reason.

in single player games where you can choose I take male always

when there's no choice it doesn't bother me at all, like Tomb Raider or Bayonetta f.e.

in fighting games like Tekken I enjoy the female characters equally so I'm not gonna avoid them or some chit lol

Nah not really, but I do usually prefer playing as male characters. I just hate it when they do the forced gender swap or strong woman inserts.

Not if it's plausible and not forced. If I'm prancing about in a WW2 game as a female amputee, I'm not really keen on it.

Hades 2 is second my list of 2024 games. Supergiant are obviously not your average dev though.

Hellblade 2 looking incredible too.

i noticed this with mass effect, where all dudes playing as female shepard. i think its deep psychological issues where they hate being a man in real life but arent quite ready to become a tranny.

this is what started me playing female characters, mmo's got me free stuff and power leveling from incel simps

Niobe from Enter the Matrix back in the day and Tomb Raider are the only games I can think of where I played as a female. It really didn't even cross my mind. Ig in things like fighting games, I think I sometimes chose the female just out of shear novelty as a kid.

if it's tomb raider, or something like that no, resident evil, no, just depends on the game, but these IPs were out a long time ago and none of the fascist bull sh!t was in games back then, so more modern games, I have an issue with because it's agenda pushing, won't even buy the games
