It definitely improves with each episode for awhile. And though it's worthwhile to include at least some aspect of the POW experience I feel like that really slowed things down and they started to lose me a bit. Couple episodes left? I can't imagine how they have enough time to wrap things up

Some parts are a bit boring but I liked it a lot. IT explains what bomber crews actually had to do and the dangers they faced more than other shows or movies. Cant stand the actor that plays the major (the one who playes elvis and is in dune 2 ) Something about his face/mouth pisses me off.
