Link's Awakening is better than BoTW

SRS

I give zero phucks about the huge amount of trash that BoTW has to offer.
I personally found it a bit boring wasting hours on a damn horse in order to end up in the same dungeon over and over again.

The OG looking Zelda is just more fun, despite being a remake of a GameBoy game.
It is simple, straightforward, has that nice feel of progression, and I love the art style.

Yeah I completely agree, Link's Awakening has always been my favorite Zelda game. BotW is the type of game I could never get through, always felt like I had to force myself to play it, and I never really wanted to play it.

BotW killed my ambition to get the sequel which is basically the same map with added extra. Don't want to spend hours gathering stupid items again in order to progress.
Also, I hate the cel-shaded arstyle for such games

A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask mog all other Zelda games. Wind Waker and Twilight Princess were fun, too. Never played Skyward Sword, and Breath of the Wild bored me. Very tedious gameplay mechanics.

Yeah I agree.

Link's Awakening DX is the first game I got for my GBC after Mario Land. Love that game. Probably my favorite Zelda tbh.

Tears of the kingdom is a completely different experience serious. Also totk has 3 maps actually, and the regular map is completely filled with content whereas BOTW was entirely empty.

Coming from someone that thought BOTW was trash, and completely boring, Totk is one of the best games ever made.

Imagine BOTW being like an alpha version released to the public that is 25% completed, and not fleshed out, just something to showcase as a blueprint, now imagine totk is like the fully released game +3 DLCs. Totk is a perfect game for anyone who hated BOTW.

Seriously, give it a try.

It feels like the sort of thing that would have been sold as an expansion pack back in the day.

The newest Zelda games are even worse because they became open world.

I'm sick and tired of open world, like Jesus Christ do people enjoy checklist map games ?

Only open world games i like nowadays are Forza and GTA. I'm tired of these massive open worlds that take fukin ages to make. Why don't they make simply/fun games anymore?

"how dare you!" *spews personal insults

For real though, spot on per usual. Too many games these days are just big time consuming epics that take hours to simply get started in. They're the type of games I rarely stick with for long, I'll play some other games and they're hard to go back to.
