I only wear Tommy Bahama boxer briefs. Not sure why, but they are the most comfortable boxers I’ve ever worn.
Only downside is they are like $30 per pair, but totally worth it

Compression shorts. Basically long boxer briefs that give my thighs a nice hug all day. There is almost no riding up, which is great. They are thin and not like bicycle shorts or yoga pants.

I think this describes just about all of the compression shorts on Amazon. They aren't what they used to be. You probably have to spend more to get good tight compression.

Actually wear gym/basketball shorts as underwear. Skin extra sensitive and gets irritated with too much friction. Have been doing this for the past couple of years.
