Did UnitedHealthcare just pull off the biggest private heist in human history?

Cliffs:
UnitedHealthcare buys up damn near every small health company out there.
UnitedHealthcare under "cyberattack" from "state entities"
Most of UnitedHealthcare systems go down, including critical systems that provides insurance pricing for prescriptions
Millions of people unable to get prescriptions for a month
UnitedHealthcare and other insurance companies don't have to pay claims for nearly a month because "muh cyberattack"
Systems slowly coming back online, but littered with problems, people still unable to get their prescriptions through insurance.

Cliff of Cliffs:
OP is a conspiracy theorist who thinks large health company staged cyberattack so they don't have to pay insurance claims for a month, worth over $350 billion.

I think they have the "cyber attacks" to clear stuff off the books behind the scenes.

Look at those casinos it all happened to. You know good and well they did it themselves so they could magically cover a bunch of bad investments so the shareholders couldn't see it.

If hackers were so good why dont they just hack bank accounts and drain them? Would be a lot easier then all that ransom and this and that.

that's not how insurance companies work OP.

do some research. If they don't hand out funds for healtcare/drugs - theyu have to put that money back into the pool. HMO's WANT you to invoke healthcare spending, so they can use it as reason to increase rates next year. Also if people don't use healthcare, they wind uip getting rid of it.

also, they have great deals with hospitals, etc. they dojn't pay as much for the drugs/healthcare as you think. they charge you $2 for a prescription and then tell you it's normally $50, look how much money you saved with Blue Shield!!
