Broken big toe, ok to work through pain without consiquences? Talking surgery ect

So yeah title. I got 6 days to rest.
Chit takes months to heal according to googs but assuming thats full recovery.
Any of you had this & went to work ect within a week?
No office cel job. Bout 30k steps a day srs. Maybe possible to cut that down to 15k ish
I can take pain but if it means ill have to do surgery in the future ill pass
Google & reddit is full of pencil neck pussys who took 4 weeks off work. I need a mans opinion with experience
