Why do some of you take reps so seriously?

Like actively rep-trading each other. Or making comments like “repped you, negged him, on spread.”

I’m not judging you, but rather trying to understand what exactly you get out your high rep power? Is it an ego thing? I don’t really see the value in rep power outside of the misc. And even inside the misc, it’s like who cares? You’ve got a bigger number. WOW so cool.

I don’t think many people really care about reps. It’s is fun to rustle certain people’s jim jams with negs tho.
