GTFIH to get your mind blown - what if Pyramids were built....

What if everyone is looking at the building of pyramids in a way completely opposite of what actually happened. Imagine pyramids were built into a massive hole like a quarry. So instead of carrying the stones up the sides with ramps or water, they actually rolled them downwards into a giant quarry-like hole. Once one level was completed, they filled the down ramp until the next level and rolled the next layer on top like tetris. The good ol' Egyptian boyos dug a quarry until limestone and then started stacking em like tetris.

Pyramids were under sand anyway, at one point they got dug up.

It's nice that you figured this solution out autonomously while taking a chit, but what you describe is kind of like an actual building technique used by the ancient Egyptians(not for the pyramids of Giza though)

The temple of Karnak was built in a similar way.

What if the were mountains to start with and they just carved them down to look like pyramids.

Pretty sure the entire country used to be 500' higher and they just shaved everything else down.
