The Southeast is very Irish too. It isn't about specific ethnicity within being white, it's other factors at play. One would assume Catholics would be very conservative (especially on the topic of abortion) but that simply isn't the case. A lot of politics is about exposure, what one reads, and whether or not they've spent time outside of their comfortable bubble in their teens to mid 20s. Most people choose the path of least resistance, which is to cling to others similar to themselves.

Yep, White Catholics vote like 2/3rds conservative, which is higher than Whites do on the whole. And most the third who still vote for Democrats are probably Catholics who haven't been to mass outside of a funeral or wedding since their confirmation.

The same people who say Catholics lean liberal are probably the same morans who think that the "traditional Catholics" from Central America will surely vote conservative, and don't seem to realize that those "traditional Catholics" are the ones who skew the Catholic vote to around 50-50 Dem/Rep

Idk I’m in the Northeast, it’s the whitest part of America and the bluest, and the most Irish.

Boston is defined by Irish Catholicism and is a libtard city.
