It's true, as you start to get older everything loses charm...

Now I know why people were right when they talked about spirit of youth....these days I am like everything seems so boring to begin with....sometimes I just want to lie down and rot...

Even novelty wears out and you yearn for some repition

The way to win is to have a child and watch him experience the charm

Yeah that, everything becomes a repititive chore. To the point it simply exhausts us....so we just prefer to lie down and rot (but can't do that all the time, can we?).

Nah I don't think so.

I'm 37 and I'm not depressed. That said I recognize the bore of everything life has to offer.

Even the most amazing thing will become a chore eventually.

I recall the story of a man from Seattle who hated his mundane life so he got a bike and equipment and road the coast to the southern tip of south America.

Then...he road back north to Seattle.

Then...he road back south again.

The novelty of a new place every day became so monotonous that he quit that and went back to the normal mundane style of things.

Having a daily pattern was the novelty atthat point.

You can't win for losing man. It's tough.

You have to have a child and watch the wonder in their eyes when a dog licks their face for the first time.

Yeah even the idea of traveling would totally exhaust a person at some point..
