How are you programming them? Or do you just do a few sets to failure say at the end of you leg day?

I do them for quad and patellar tendonopathy. They strengthen the tendons in your knee and all the surrounding muscles. They're good for rehab and injury prevention.

I do the Jake Turra routine for tendonopathy.
5 sets, 30-45 sec holding for each leg every day.

Have noticed decent growth from doing them. Obviously, when I started, I wasn't doing them to parallel. Progress is fast.

Awesome! This is very similar to the reason I'd be doing them. I'll start incorporating them this week. Thanks brah.

Great exercise for managing patellar tendinopathy.

Definitely not a good exercise for developing quad hypertrophy. It's an isometric at mid range, neither of which is ideal for muscle growth.

For hypertrophy the ideal exercises are ones that include an eccentric, through a large ROM that can be progressively overloaded over time.

You can try weighted horse stance (braced against a wall) and see how long you can hold in place.
