Makes you wonder how in the literal piss someone like this could be running for President. Someone who can't front bond for a CRIME is running for Presidency. How come some sort of credit check isn't part of the security clearance necessary for a position of this magnitude?
If people with bad credit can't get clearance for the military, wouldn't you expect the same for a political leader with poor financial capacity? Someone with a minute portion of the debt Trump has would be disqualified for all sorts of jobs.
The idea of putting someone like Trump, in a position where is financially destitute and hence, easily manipulable, as if he wasn't enough already, into the Presidency? Just.....insane.

Democrat who sits on the House Financial Services Committee warned that former President Donald Trump’s inability to secure a bond for his $464 million fraud judgment makes him a “massive national security risk.”
Trump’s lawyers in a filing on Monday told a New York appeals court that he cannot secure a bond after approaching 30 underwriters.
“The amount of the judgment, with interest, exceeds $464 million, and very few bonding companies will consider a bond of anything approaching that magnitude,” the attorneys wrote.
The filing quoted an insurance broker who signed an affidavit stating that securing the bond is a “practical impossibility.”
“Enforcing an impossible bond requirement as a condition of appeal would inflict manifest irreparable injury on Defendants,” the attorneys wrote, asking for a stay while also requesting oral arguments if the court considers denying the request.
“The presumptive @GOP nominee for President is desperate for $464M (and counting) which he cannot personally access. That fact alone makes him a massive national security risk; any foreign adversary seeking to buy a President knows the price,” tweeted Rep. Sean Casten, D-Ill.
Casten noted that all House lawmakers are required to post “regular reports of our assets and liabilities.”

“The fact that we don't know this about someone running for the highest office in the land shifts the liability onto our democracy itself,” he wrote.
The D.C.-based watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington previously warned that Trump’s mounting financial penalties make him “an even bigger threat to national security.”
“Giving the highest and most powerful office in the land to someone deeply in debt and looking for ways to make back hundreds of millions of dollars he lost in court is a recipe for the kinds of corruption that aren’t theoretical when it comes to Trump,” the group warned, adding: “Despite his financial ups and downs in office, one thing remained remarkably consistent: Trump’s laser focus on using the presidency to line his pockets.”
Basically, in short, Trump can't afford his bond and any one of America's enemies can see this as an easily exploitable opportunity. Trump needs bond. I'm also among the people who are gobsmacked that the GOP and half the country still want this guy on the ballot ahead of about a dozen other more qualified and less train wreck people.

How easy is it to exploit someone like this? Pay their bond for exchange of national security information? Heck man, if I were an enemy of the US, this would be me right now:

I don't like the people who are doing this to him, I don't trust them and I feel like they are exactly what is wrong with this country. America has a corrupt leadership issue and it goes far beyond the orange man being bad.
Heck democrats used to side with my kind of thinking until it was their corrupt officials. I have always been an old school liberal, today's leftism is just a joke.

What a joke. If you cant see this for what it is, regardless of political affiliation, youre just being obtuse or a troll.
Judge rules property value is BS (just fukkin lawl @ that property being 18 mil)
Then rules a fine that is magically about what they said it was worth at one point
Then trump goes fuk off nah because it's a political stunt and wants appeal
Then BRB "ermagherd he cant pay his bills he's a risk" and all the other media hype about him being broke
Come on...

Basically, in short, Trump can't afford his bond and any one of America's enemies can see this as an easily exploitable opportunity. Trump needs bond. They offer the bond in exchange for national security secrets. Trump agrees because he doesn't GAF about the country and if it comes to saving his skin or that, it's a no brainer.

Donald Trump Needs Cash. DWAC To Vote On Trump Media Merger This Week.
KIT NORTON
Shareholders of Digital World Acquisition (DWAC), the special purpose acquisition company aiming to take former President Donald Trump's tech and social-media platform public, are scheduled Friday to vote on the long-awaited merger with Trump Media & Technology Group. DWAC shares surged Wednesday.
DWAC stockholders are currently set to hold a meeting Friday to approve the special purpose acquisition company's merger with Trump Media, according to federal filings. Meanwhile, Trump is having trouble securing a nearly half a billion dollar bond to appeal his $454 million civil business fraud judgment.
The Miami-based SPAC has a history of postponing and rescheduling shareholder votes.
DWAC aims to take Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) public in a reverse merger. Trump Media is the parent of the conservative social-media platform Truth Social. If the merger is completed, the new entity is likely to trade on the Nasdaq under a ticker such as TMTG.
If DWAC shareholders approve the merger Friday, TMTG will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Digital World. DWAC will then change its name to Trump Media & Technology Group, according to regulatory filings. If the merger is completed, Trump's 90% stake in TMTG could be valued at around $4 billion, based on DWAC's current stock price.
On Tuesday, Trump posted on Truth Social that he shouldn't be required to put up the money in his New York fraud case. The former president wrote he "would be forced to mortgage or sell Great Assets, perhaps at Fire Sale prices, and if and when I win the Appeal, they would be gone."
DWAC stock advanced 17.8% to 42.90 during Wednesday's market action. On Tuesday, DWAC shares angled up 2.4% to 36.42.

The filing Trump did was an attempt to get a stay on having to secure a bond- a move which any decent legal team should attempt.
If you read the filing they did a days ago - it notes being impossible to get a bond of time because they would only back them with liquid or marketable assets. (Not the real estate assets)
At the time of the filing it was true.
This Friday after lunch - if he so chooses to use - he will have enough marketable assets.
He can't sell within 6 months without board approval- but at the time he will control board- and can approve the sell- or the agreement of leveraging the asset for bond.
I kinda like the idea of letting her just seize the New York assets- they are a nuisance to him now anyway, and the visual would secure him the campaign.

Foolproof plan the Dems have. What could go wrong?
Find a man guilty before the trial begins
Bank states they were not harmed and wished to do more business with that man
Fine that man half a billion in cash and he can’t appeal until he has 100% of the judgement and say you can’t use a bank chartered in NY
Laugh when a billionaire doesn’t have 1/2 a billion in liquid cash and can’t phone a friend.
Call him a security threat.
Gross miscarriage of justice. All involved should rot in prison.

But as to what you said, yes, absolutely. You challenge or proffer a counter argument to anything right-wingers say and they just get extremely angry. No temper control or respect for intelligent discussionat all.
You'd think someone would eventually realize that a position is kind of indefensible if your only port of call to a reasoned challenge is to start squealing like an angry child. The irony of calling me an autist was the cherry on the top, lol.
