Looking at the gameplay videos I was thinking the game looked outdated. Low and behold.
BUT, I've played mid 70s games that turned out good IMO. Mad Max was a 69, but for me it was a solid 8. Alien Isolation was a 79, but a 9.5 in my eyes.
I'm still gonna watch this game closely and possibly give it a try.

I said it earlier, it reeks of a game that is treated more harshly than others because of when its released. Reviewers pick and choose when they want to dock points on certain things or if they're comparing to a relatively better game released at the time.
Days Gone was a similar situation where they complained that it didnt do anything new but that game is good.

Damn. I was hyped for this one but now I'll either pass or wait til it's on sale someday. I was also underwhelmed by the reviews and early info for DD 2. Least I still have tons of hours left on Infinite Wealth plus all of Rebirth to play thru

just saw a good review on this game and its a pretty solid game. Its just too Nioh and Soulslike for me.. This is a Japanese Openworld story based Souls like game. Worst part about this game is the graphics. I dont care about graphics as much as most people but its pretty unimpressive. Its probably better than most AC games

To put it into perspective, this isnt even a first party studio, but more so a partnership between Sony and Team Ninja. Guessing the move into open world was a bit more for them to handle since I recall a lot of people praising the Nioh series. Gonna be a rough year for Sony though, even from the previews and trailers this game looked boring and meh personally.
Only Stellar Blade looks interesting for me and hopefully that one scores above 80.
