Why does processed food remove all fiber as the first step?

Is there something inherent to processing food?

Do they do it intentionally, so the sugar and carbs enter your bloodstream faster and "hit harder"

It's so rare to see processed food with a normal amount of fiber.

I would think it's intentional. Like you said, the sugar hits faster. Makes it addictive and likely to cause diabetes. I think that's the intention. Not only do they benefit, but big pharma gets to benefit as well. FDA is run by former executives for big food and big pharma. They scratch each other's backs.

The point of removing the fiber when processing food is it removes the natural satiation triggers so you eat more and dont feel full. Add in ultra palatable ingredients and other addictive properties and this is where e are with food.
