I cannot believe Colorado used to be a red state

Voted for Bush twice, only went blue when Obama ran and hasn't gone red since.

WTF happened.

I remember growing up and seeing all the good news about the state, truly a hidden treasure back in the 90s and such. Last time I went to Denver it felt so smug and run down.

Race has nothing to do with it. Miscers have to stop thinking so black and white (pun intended).

Colorado went blue because a bunch of dirty hippies who happen to be mostly white started flocking to Denver and Boulder in droves about 30 years ago. Many Californians. Then they elected a progressive government, legalized everything, let homeless, junkies and illegals run rampant, and as a consequence all the conservatives who were living there fled for greener pastures.

Florida went from lean blue to safe red in 2 election cycles and it’s only 51% white (probably less now since those were 2020 census numbers).

Vermont is the most reliably blue state in the country and it’s 92% white.

I was back for a HS Reunion last summer. Could not believe some of the stuff now passing as "Normal"
