Well...
- The economy keeps spelunking to new lows.

- Consumer purchasing power continues to shrink.

- The prices of necessities are worse than when we were in a global-fukking-pandemic.

- To top off this unending hellscape before us all, the quality of what was once simple escapism has also seen unprecedented lows as it turned into propaganda-filled, antagonistic and accusatory lectures from delusional, narcissistic marxists who hate the very people they're supposed to be making media for.

- Decreased spending coupled with high interest rates has been stirring a panic amongst higher ups in the tech industry who have been looking for any fat to trim amidst rapidly growing costs with longer returns on those high investments due to prolonged production times.

- The useless idiots who are intentionally ruining everything they touch can't help but out themselves because they're, again, narcissists, so even more people become aware of them and their intentions.

Either the people in charge wake up and realize that next quarter won't matter if they let the industry speedrun a crash because they couldn't tell some talentless activists to stick to making soy lattes in California.

3-4 years doesn't sound bad at all, hopefully whichever games are currently in production with this marxist / communist / activist / DEI gutter trash also bomb, they probably will, good riddance to trash.

Also they need to get rid of the untalented morons making games in addition to the propagandists, I.E. Halo infinite is a piece of sh!t game because it's not a true Halo game, they need innovation that makes the games better, not crap that doesn't align with the core game mechanics that made the franchise what it used to be at one time.

It might not be as prevalent in 4 years but it's definitely going still be around.

I think a lot of the smaller studios will just die off or get cancelled, it's hard to see the bigger woke companies like Naughty Dog, Bungie, Bioware and Remedy getting the same treatment when you consider how much money gets thrown at them.

I think the woke crap is fine, as a tiny little niche that appeals to a fairly narrow audience (of people who both enjoy games and gobble up LGBTQ+ DEI stuff). Most of us are only the former, not the later, and games being influenced way too much by the Sweet Baby Incs of the world, from what I see -- just aren't very good.

The story, very niche and for me often very insulting and offensive, but gameplay, just seems like the wrong people are put at the helm and things spiral down. A lot going well beyond the DEI stuff, IMO, so much of it being AAA or now AAAA games having to play things so damn safe that they neuter the fun out of things. And on playing it safe, for years now two gay men having an uncomfortably long passionate makeout session has been the bell of the ball, something not just safe but critically adored and award-winning, so the suits (who could give no fuk) double and triple down on it, until we end up here.

The problem, like a cancer, many of the actual activists who do care (and no, not about gaming, but about two men having an uncomfortably long passionate makeout session), they're here, they're queer and they've infiltrated our shared hobby so much that it's not as easy as many of us might hope to just pivot away from this direction.

3-4 years to me sounds very optimistic. 3-4 years to just finish up whatever is in development and take the hits and just make sure new stuff being created now is less DEI-infused garbage. I don't know if you can do that, though. I think it's correcting but I think it's going to be 6-8 years and 6-8 years only if we have Good Luck and things going the (my opinion) right way with our culture for the next year or two.

People are starting to wake up to the Disney+, Sweet Baby Inc bullchit, but that doesn't mean we are for sure going to simmer down on that. Disney is not waving the white flag, no company I am aware of has admitted they did too much. Only some low level activists are being swept out, but cancer isn't that easy to remove, is it?

This happens to be a subject that some people really don't want attention being brought to. People simply discussing it makes them angry. They're the same people trying to say stuff like "things have never been better" who promote/consume the latest media.

Well in the end it's all about the money. If the woke trash fails to deliver financial success it will go away. (unless they don't care about profits of course but even so the party will stop when they run out of money anyway)

So far we see most woke products fail so I'm optimistic
