Yes, but I did mine without hopping. HOWEVER, I practice this as a lower leg strengthening exercise and am working up to 3 minutes without touching anything for balance period. I started off at 60 sec, I think.Haven't done it yet am I allowed to hop? Not lean on something but hop around to keep my balance

I've switched to putting couch pillows on the floor and balancing on them. Noticed it translates to an increased balance outside of the gym.
