Here's why US government debt isn't a big deal (yet)
The US government has $35tn in debt. But, it also has assets.
Look at all this land. How much do you think it's worth. Probably at least $35tn, right?

The subsurface will be tricky though since you have to know what's down there to have an idea of how to appraise it.
