California fast food workers loving their pay increases

Thanks to Democrat Presidential hopeful Gavin Newson, fast food workers in California are enjoying their bumper pay increases to $20ph+ by having all day to spend their increases

Oh wait.....
https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/f...225107245.html

Newsom over the years has practically destroyed the city of San Francisco from allegedly being the 5th largest economy in the world to being $89bn in debt. Horrendous schools, high crime and a once thriving Powell street/Union square tourist area with no businesses open. a stench of urine and shi7 wherever you walk

Imagine him being President and this coming to an area near you. The equivalent of the Biden boom I guess

1. If they're being paid $15/hr, their salary isn't jumping to $20/hr on april 1st. Its going up by $1 per year until it reaches $20/hr

2. Most areas in San Diego/Los Angeles and San Francisco already pay $20/hr. I know that Chick Fil A, In-N-Out, Shake Shack, and some McDonalds locations already pay that rate.

The only ones who don't are Gavin's donors at Panera. They won't be making that anytime soon, either.

What's the point really, with automation soon taking over? Like I said before, do we really need a cashier? Nope, replace them with a kiosk, and make sure you're a cashless business. You ensure the place won't be robbed, and you just eliminated numerous jobs. All you really need are the cooks, and maybe somene to clean up the place.

Your jobs up next, pig.

Automation is right around the corner for you, and then you’re fuk’d.

Uh huh, tell me, how is automation going to replace my job? And by the time it does, I'll be retired, collecting a nice pension.

Some of the cooks will be displaced by robots. It's a matter of when. Depends on the food. Burger joints, for sure. Gotta have a couple of people in the place for various reasons though. Given the trend of fewer people who order inside staying to eat I won't be surprised if within a couple of years fast food joints start building smaller restaurants, where a new standalone McD's is the size of a typical coffee shop.

Its crazy that they can have guys with doctorates in finance and business from the most prestigious universities in the world but somehow these same people cant see the consequences of these stupid policies.

I can see Walgreens becoming almost like a giant vending machine, where everything is behind a thick glass, you place your order, and some machine grabs the products after you pay with your credit card. Then you get your products through a medium size opening.

The Robots will be trained by people with the same mindset as genesis to turn a blind eye to all sorts of crime so basically they’ll be useless and they’ll get stolen by other liberals and sold for scrap

Walgreens has all but disappeared in the city thanks to liberals and their voting block.

The smart ones knew the first thing that would happen is that companies will start terminating people - lots of people.

I did. Labor is the #1 expense. First to trim. This will happen everywhere the libs get their wish and then have it blow up in their ignorant dumbass faces.

I keep hearing these threats about job loss if they raise the minimum wage, but the encroachment of automation has been happening for years even before any measures were passed.
This was inevitably going to happen even if minimum wage was still $5.

It sure would happen, but a lot more slowly because of the expense. It is now at an accelerated pace because no good businessperson would keep the same amount of employees at the new min wage.

people HATE the kiosks McDonald's has so much so that at rest stops they will just nope out and go to some unknown sub place.
I witnessed this multiple times while traveling.

Says who?? The tens of millions youre glad might be losing their jobs thanks to automation? They vote to you know.

How many in Chicago would vote for a politician running on a platform of removing/reducing police pensions?? Is 60% too low of a percentage?

We live in a representative democracy, meaning, all it takes is 51% of the vote to take away everything you/I have or will ever have.

When you hear the phrase, eventually the govt will run out of other peoples money....whos money do you think they are talking about?

It is though. As soon as the military's autonomous hardware starts piling up in the surplus yard it will get handed down to the local goon squads to play with.

Bro, automation is coming whether you like it or not.

Look at Walmart, you have two employees watching people at the self checkout, instead of paying 10-12 cashiers.
