Seems like more and more people are getting back into buy them. Kind of nice to have a collection of your favorite movies ready to watch whenever you want. I remember having a portable DVD player that I used the hell out of before I got into streaming. There's so many stores that sell used DVDs where they're really cheap. What do you guys think?

Blue ray is still legit if you want the best quality picture and sound.

netflix gives me choice paralysis and everything SUCKS

however a neat trick for 'dates', is to hit up the thrift store, salvation army etc and see what dvds they have. Pick one or two for $3 a piece and watch it.

Gives semi blockbuster vibes

This. DVDs are only 480p so no point getting those

I'm looking at portable blue ray players as well. I'd love to have shelves where I have some of my favorite films ranked and ready to go. Lulz.

As a videophile, the best quality media for movies is film reel. I invested in a genuine cinema projector and it was the best £50,000 I ever spent. Anyone watching Bluray is just coping tbh

I buy blu rays still of my favorites.

Streaking has started censoring stuff due to woke **** and in the case of Supernatural Tv Series, they don’t have the licenses for the music in some of the episodes when they originally aired. I also like owning physical copies of stuff. I don’t trust digital

Its important to buy physical media so streaming services can't dictate what is available to see.
