Is it easy for Canadians to move to the province of Quebec?

Isn’t it the best part of Canada with much fewer ethnics and more classy white HBBs? Why don’t more Canadians move there to settle down? Is it as easy, say, to move there from BC to QC as it is from BC to ON?

I guess it's easy to move here but the government is making it nauseating for non-Francophones to live here. The obsession over the language is never ending srs

It’s not my country, but I never understood why Canadians put up with the Quebecois chit. They seem to hold the other provinces and federal government hostage. Totally cucked. I remember reading Kevin O’Leary would’ve been PM today but had to drop out of the election because he didn’t speak French or some dumb chit. You guys should’ve either forced them to use English or just let them secede years ago.

Thanks I thought as such. Don’t y’all learn a few years of French in school?

Doesn't matter if you know some basic French. You have to speak it fluently and fast with their redneck version of French or you're not going to fit in.

The queebeckers have gotten really touchy about speaking French since 2015. I remember under Harper they weren't so uppity.

I really hope they have their third referendum and and fuk off for good tbqh.

More than a few, if you're in English school you have mandatory French courses all throughout elementary school, high school & Cegep (college). Basically 13/14 years of French classes. It's very rare to find a native Quebecer who can't at least get by in French

Gotcha. My mom is from Belgium so I spoke some French growing up and took 4 years of it in school too. It’s funny listening to GSP speak French.

I meant for Canadians in other provinces. What’s the French language education like there?

There are mandatory courses in Public school for a couple of years, but not in high school where it is an elective. These will be taught by someone who doesn't really speak French 90% of the time, and 99% of the students also will not speak French after them.

There are also French immersion schools, which parents love because the quality of education is higher than other public schools. There are waiting lists for these schools. If you go there, you will probably speak a passable French that could allow you to move to Quebec and become fluent there.

And there are also Francophone schools, which you can only go to if you are a francophone/quebecker with francophone/quebecker parents (these are guaranteed by Trudeau sr's charter of rights and freedoms, where parents have the right to an education for their kids in their mother tongue if it is English or French). I'm not sure how they qualify this and if other francophones from France or whatever qualify, as I am not a francophone/quebecker and bilingualism seems very stupid to me and something more like a make-work project for Quebeckers to appease them so they don't separate.

When I was doing appliance deliveries/installs, we'd go to Quebec every Monday. I never seemed to grasp french at all growing up in school tbh. Not sure I could see myself living there full time. Also QC gamers are always dickheads srs

Quebec is exactly what you think it is

Bunch of liberal hippies, if you don't speak French they have a melt down, no real economy, every western Canadian province needs to send them billions of dollars to keep them afloat, they love Trudeau, terrible hockey team. I mean the list can go on and on

There's not 1 thing about Quebec that's better than BC or Alberta
