I stopped being depressed when I realize the truth about society.
Ded fkn srs.
Struggled with depression my late teens and early 20s
Then I realize what a sham our society is, how much BS and lies they feed us etc.
Since then, I've never been depressed.
I can be angry, I can be sickened. But depressed? It just doesn't happen anymore.
I belive the cause of depression is cognitive dissonance when you belive societies lies despite what you see around you with your own two eyes.
Society tries to gaslight you that if you are honest, good and hard working, good things will happen to you. That personality is the most important thing, that the government cares about you, that the west is "good", on and on it goes.
Once you realize your leaders hate you, you don't get in life what you deserve but what you can scheme out of it, that all relationships are transactional and "love" doesn't really exist, it all gets easier.
