Ok guys here it is, Mr lamaSC, the top D2 youtuber out there himself says "This is the best modern arpg he's played. a top comment ive seen somewhere "this is if D2 and Dark souls had a baby, but Dark Souls ended up raising it."

Anyone playing this? I haven't had much time, but beat the sewer boss. I think it's a really interesting take, and they seem to be updating it through patches really quickly based on player feedback.

Coming back to this: I beat the final boss in early access, now prepping for the end game system.

I like this *so* much more than the 'zap screen instead 1000x' playstyle of Diablo/PoE, seriously.

How is it? I had put it down after an hour of playtime to let them work on it. Seems they have put out a bunch of patches and included a respec which I was surprised wasn’t already there.

It is better in many ways - I stopped at the start due to some performance hitching. Now it feels a lot smoother.

Game looks gorgeous, the combat is a lot of fun. The boss design varied - I still have to test the "end game" system in the Crucible. Doing some bounties, upgrading my town.

I can so see this being a real favorite for small groups - have a group of gamers upgrading the vendors and town together.

Definitely worth it imo. I am using a 1hs and I put a rune on it that lets me throw it with a fire enchant, heh.

I'd say yes and no. It's way more souls than diablo, but in the best way.

You can (eventually) still speed through, kill things fast, do builds that are pretty crazy, but the world is hand designed. There's lots of little secrets, you can build up the town - buy a little estate and deck it out - you can do aoe mage, daggers, scythe, greatswords, parry, heck you can even go fists and the backstab is a suplex (lol).

It's 30 bucks - less than the cost of a price of pizza where I live. Happy to gift a few copies out to non-alt/chitpostercels srs.

Repped in advance for a gifted copy please, thanks.

Been on my wishlist since it came out of Early Access, was waiting for full release to buy it. If you got a spare copy going i wouldn't mind one

Just completed Elden Ring dlc, that makes me having done every dark souls game apart from bloodborne, always on the look out for other souls-like (lies of p was amazing too)

DM me your Steam handles and I'll add you and gift it. Was just doing some bounties in the game, still find it fun. There'll be an end game update on July 25th too.

Any time.

I think the game has *huge* potential, if they don't get stuck in a Last Epoch style 'years and years of small updates'. This is the only arpg that is souls-like, and is really really fun srs.

I got this game. I love the gameplay and art style of this game but level design is kind of **** , maps are too confusing and i get lost annoyed that i cant just go somewhere.

Maybe i didnt give it enough chance but i will just wait until full release to play. I loved ori games and i am sure i will end up liking these but for now i am just going to wait until full release.

They added "exploration" back into the genre. It is linked to resource gathering - so, some spot you passed by before might have some trees with lumber you can use to upgrade the town etc.

A bit tricky at times - some jumps, but I still resonate with the feeling that exploration should be rewarding. And that isometric arpgs shouldn't be defined by their one button screen detonating RMT potential.

Hope you eventually enjoy it - big update on 25th.

Enjoy man. I need a long break from Last Epoch, D4, PoE - if I ever even go back to them.

Lizzie never DMd me her Steam username, hope she's alright.

I do love this game - they need to get the PvE campaign/end game stuff sorted asap, with multiplayer.
