“The show is strictly age 15 plus as clearly stated on the ticket site. She had an infant with her. The baby was disrupting my performance,” he said.

“On behalf of the other 700 people who paid to see the gig, I politely told her the baby couldn’t stay. She thought I was kidding, which made the exchange a bit awkward.

“I felt bad about the whole situation and stated this on the night more than once. I offered her a refund. Theatre staff should not have seated a baby in my audience in the first place.”
Arj Barker has faced backlash for asking a mother with a crying baby to go outside, claiming it was disturbing the audience. The mother complained on X.

Thoughts? I support Barker on this. It was a comedy show for ages 15+, and people have paid to see stand up comedy, not to listen to a crying baby. Who TF takes a baby to a comedy show, rather than leave it with babysitters or something? It was interrupting his act and soiling the show for a paying audience.

He even offered the mother a refund, despite her own narcissistic and selfish decision. Like, who takes a baby out past 7pm on a Saturday night? And why did the staff let the baby in in the first place?

Yep, this is narcissism so extreme it beggars belief. Although, the media have spun this article significantly to make the mother a victim. I think the ones who left were with the mother, not random audience members who somehow sympathised with the mother and the crying baby.

wtf lol who the **** brings a baby to a comedy club? I guess the answer is single moms with zero parenting skills
