Anyone Ever Asked the Chemist where it comes from?

When they sell you medicine.

What was their response?

Since this is Australia, they could basically say "from Satan's ***hole" and that would be a reponse you're just expected to accept.

In the US the manufacturer is listed on the label and the FDA website provides information

A wholesaler. The wholesaler got it from a manufacturer. The manufacturer got it from various locations around the world based on batch numbers. The average chemist does not have access to all of that information on hand.
