I wonder about that too sometimes. So many people were on here at one point. How many do you think are left? 1%?

I don't think it's even close to 1%.

When you signed up here in 2009, there were hundreds of thousands of users.

I think we'd be lucky to have two hundred unique posters right now. We might be lucky to have a hundred.

Yeah I remember the days when you'd bump a thread and it would almost immediately be on page 3.

When did the misc really start slowing down? I was pretty active 2007 to 2012 (shout out to eod), then I'd pop in from time to time up until covid, then I started lurking a lot again during covid.

It was still really active in 2012 when I left.

It was still really active up until like 2017ish. Then other social media took over.

I think it probably started as social media started to dominate maybe ten years ago.

And then I think it was just a slow death until finally four or five years ago people started looking around and wondering where everybody went.
