For real. Any Windows laptop is a total joke in comparison. I do still have a gaming desktop for sure, but for laptop? Macs are a different league.

MBP crew checking in.

I'm due for an upgrade soon. Predictions on when the M4 MBP will arrive? Fall 2024 or Spring 2025?

M4 will have the same 3nm as M3 - so probably fall 2024. It will be a minor upgrade according to rumours so you could pull the trigger on an M3 if you had to upgrade now.

Thanks, that was my thought aswell. Then read something about the new M4 having some AI capabilities. But I think that's just bull**** and they wanted the headline:

still got an old Macbook pro with the first retina hi res monitor that just needs a battery. runs like a dream. I think at one point it wasn't rebooted for about 1 full year and didn't hang or freeze. PC's need to be rebooted daily or weekly otherwise they go bonkers.

I still use PC's for any real work though.
