How in the hell are people still getting by on 30k-50k a year?

12 years ago, yeah whatever I could see it, but in 2024? My mind is blown every time I come across someone talking about making less than 50K. How do these people survive? And I'm talking about people living in NYC/LA on this income, not some hick town in middle America
I love my part time job but I'm only making $30K a year and there's really no opportunity to grow. I always hear stories of people managing to make it without going to school.

I have an associates degree in communications and don't intend on going back to college. So people who have a job that pays $50K w/o college or trade school, what do you do?

So these people have to be living with their parents. I don't see how else they could survive. How many people do you wager are making less than 60K a year in America?

90/90 breathing keeps me afloat.
Balding is death. If you have no hair, you have no life.

People usually have roommates or are in relationships.
