So one of my best mates got a divorce and his wife
Was pretty hot.
He met here while we were out one night she originally tried to talk to me but I declined and my friend jumped on her. They got married had a kid all that good stuff.
Well this friend would always try and talk to my girlfriends and try and talk chit behind my back to them. They would always tell me. The next Day he would always apologize and say it was the booze that made him do it. I always forgave it. No big deal
Well the ex wife wanted to come hang out at my place one night. I was iffy on if I should do it. They were divorced but he was my friend so I didn't think it was the right thing to do. But he pulled that chit again on another chic I had when we all three went out one night so I said fuk it. And had his ex wife come hang out
Do you think I was in the wrong for doing that?

If you still considered him a friend and still want to be a friend to him, then yes that was wrong of you to bang his ex-wife. It's the epitome of breaking bro code.
However, if he was routinely chitting on you while getting drunk and using drunkeness as an excuse all the time, I'd have written him off as a friend years ago by now. So if you fall into that category, then bang his exes all you want, as he's no longer your bro, thus not deserving of bro code considerations.

But yeah when he was going through divorce I'd ask him out with me and my girlfriend just cause I felt sorry for him and when I'd go to the restroom or to the bar to get a drink he would tell her 'why are you with him, I make 100k a year and own my own house, get rid of him:"
Doesn't feel too good when your friend pulls that chit just to get layed.
But you are right I should have cut him off years ago but to his credit when my life started to take a turn into craziness he was the only one who did not try to throw me under the bus. He distance himself cause I was an addixt at the time and he had a great career and no decent person wants to he around or hang out with an addict so I didn't blame him if anything I respected him for it.
Good friends are hard to come by.

Not sure if it’s because I grew up in a small town where we had less options, or if it’s because me and my friends weren’t a bunch on insecure phaggots, but no one ever gave a fukk if you smashed their ex. It’s their EX girlfriend. Why would I could if someone banged my ex? To me that’s sounds like something only females would get worried and cause drama over. If you end a relationship with someone then either disregard and move on, or still be friends and move on. Either way it doesn’t make sense to think you can dictate who they can and can’t smash at that point.

From your description it doesn't sound like he's your friend at all, so I wouldn't have a problem with it. He's just a guy you hang out with, not somebody who you can rely on or would ask for serious help.

Lol, who cares about all of this. This guy clearly is just an acquaintance of yours, so you should have fuked his girl if you wanted to.

He was never your friend, just an assshole who used you at his convenience. Fuk him, you have nothing to feel bad about.

Also, he used to straight up trash you around lots of people. Doesn’t sound like he’s much of a friend, and doesn’t care about this “bro code” you’re talking about.

As fat as being supportive no, his exact words to me were "you are 1 step away from a felony and I can't be around it" I was really bad off at that time. I was addicted to everything under the son. So I can't blame him how can I? It's been years since I've used any illicit substances though. My son freed me of that . You could not pay me a million dollars to ever put a drug in my body again.
I've tried to reach out to him but guess he is weary of talking

If one fails to do that they generally act irrationally and that never leads you to a good place.

A democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. And that's why the USA is a constitutional republic and not a democracy.

He sounds like a pretty bad friend. Gotta watch out for that.
Still though, don't think you should sleep with his ex wife. Ex gf is one thing, but ex wife is another. Plus you don't wanna be like him.
