If you're running a handgun for HD because of fears if "shooting the neighbors on the next block", why aren't you just running an AR with ballistic tip ammo?
You're basically looking at ammo that explodes within 6" of whatever it hits. But it still has 1000+ ft lbs of energy instead of ~300 from your handgun.
