yeah honestly i dont really take anything from that. i guess its good they were able to make the game they wanted? i didnt beat the first one and honestly i didnt know what that game was about when i bought it. Its not bad but i have to get headphones and im actually glad i didnt finish it cause now i can pretty much beat it then hop to the second one. The schizo voices were kinda off putting but a unique game for sure. I just dont think its gonna do well. which is a shame

Xbox won't close NT outright, maybe turn them into a MoCap studio.

What should happen is Xbox say "OK, you made YOUR game, now you have to make OUR game." Xbox needs to start being harder on these dev teams.

Yeah i can see that plus everyone is already pissed as hell at them. they cant afford to shut another studio. Not even they have the balls to do that. All i can say is things are not good right now for EVERYONE! i think in 6 months things will start to level out but who knows. i didnt see this chit show a month or 2 ago and i really hope everyone recovers as best they can.

Honestly it's a bit saddening that they decided to create senua sage 2 ... I mean sure people liked the first game, but it was so barebones with its gameplay apart from the visuals.


The game is literally a tech demo for their mocap / graphics work.


This is the studio that created Enslaved: Odyssey to the west ..... An absolute gem of a game on the PS3. They made such a great game, with great characters, gameplay and graphics and never went back to it or something similar. I mean they even made DMC lol.

Great discussion from different viewpoints and nice Xbox debate at the end.

I am crushed this game isn't better. I figured with the MS cash injection we'd see this sequel be all the good things it was and take some significant steps forward.

From a graphical and sound design standpoint the game is phenomenal.

Early combat is a little meh but I mean **** the first 45 minutes are some INSANE visuals.

Graphics are insane on this. Very immersive game. The struggle she goes through really reminded me very much of tomb raider 2013. Sound is great but I wish they toned down on the voices. The combat is not a strong point but I didn’t expect it to be. I’m playing on gfn and it’s going great so far.

I'm looking forward to "playing" this on my PC when i get the chance. But only for the visual treats. I thought the first game sucked ass and the voices are annoying as fck. Good thing you can beat it in less than 5 hours. I have no problems with that. If i had to sit through that bullsht for 30 hours, i'd be pissed.

Looks like it’s closer to 6.5 hrs for a straight play through, a bit longer for doing the sides

And I haven’t noticed cutscenes being anywhere close to over half the playtime

I believe it’s based on the length of YouTube videos that are full playthroughs vs. all cutscene videos.

There are definitely some 5-6 hour videos for full playthroughs and 3+ hours for all cutscenes.

I was getting the game length from howlongtobeat, which is probably a bit more realistic for the time of a playthrough. I’m only an hour in, but i don’t see how over half the game could be cutscenes from what I’ve played

I don't expect a gameplay masterpiece but this is one I'm playing expecting basically a movie because that's what this game is

It's gamepass so I'll play on Xbox on my oled and dolby atmos

Then I'll play on pc with quality headphones

Assuming it's cross save like Xbox games usually are I should be able to just continue one playthrough between them both. I'm happy to hear that it's got insane gfx otherwise pffft no thx



When i will sit down to play is another story, hopefully this weekend

I've played it as well.


I'm enjoying a bit more than Hellblade 1 tbh ... I mean this game still aint great, but it's nice to turn off your brain and just go through the motions.




I'm playing on my series x .... Regret it now tbh. The visuals are nice, but holy **** the IQ is absolutely abysmal. It's so bad with all the post processing and film grain. I don't know why dev's keep doing this chit, just give me filters to turn all that chit off. I wish I played it on my pc so I could have turned it all off. Yes the game is a looker, but the dogchit IQ really brings it down. I'm not impressed .... Games like Horizon FW still look far better because of the pristine IQ. Even Plague Tale looked far more impressive on the series x. Dont play this game on the chitbox ... Do it on PC, because I saw the pc graphics where they turned off all the chit filters and holy hell it looks like a completely new game and next gen as hell.


Gameplay is boring as fuk. It's literally a walking simulator with qte combat thrown in.

Also the whole schizo thing is annoying as fuk, those voices just keep yapping away incessantly ... I feel like I'm playing this game with two annoying ass boomer aunts next to me.


I just killed the Giant, so I reckon I'm like halfway or something. I probably give it like a 6. I cant believe they marketed this so heavily and it was in development for so long only for them to deliver this .... Even The Order 1886 was far more fun and had the semblance of an actual game in it.


Game is a tech-demo that's 4 years too late. I'll be shocked if MS doesn't can this studio, because this game aint it lol .... I mean Ninja Theory is super talented as hell, but I cant believe they're wasting time on this bullchit.

I'm a Sonycel and I think it looks amazing (on PC at least). But some of those post processing effects could have had an option to be turned off in settings. It's a valid criticism in any game... Although I wouldn't even classify HBII as a videogame.

I finished the game. The last hour of the game is quite good tbh, maybe it was that particular area or something but the IQ was considerably cleaned up and the game actually looks jaw dropping and next gen without all the crap on the screen. The fights are also better. Overall a 7/10 for me even though the game is severely lacking. They really could have done a lot more with the combat and puzzles but priorities were clearly elsewhere. One thing that could have improved it is is we had to fight two people maybe instead of the 1 v 1 battles.

I'm hoping Ninja Theory goes back to an Enslaved sequel.
