2023 Updated Household Net Worth By Age Numbers [USA]

They recently updated the 2023 Household net worth by age data for USA. Where do you rank?

You can also use the below calculator, ensuring that "Primary Home: County Equity" is toggled, which uses the same data for a more exact percentage.

I'm top 15% but I'm younger so it's not that big of a deal. Looking at the data, there is a such a huge gap up between the 45-49 and 50-54 ranges wtf.

I am guessing a household is everyone on a single tax return. But living together is a good way to save money regardless.

Found this from Statista: "The average American household consisted of 2.51 people in 2023". Obviously this includes the elderly, the children, the unemployed in general, etc.

Can't find data about "average number of employed people per household" though.

That's skewed super low, no way it's true. Anyone who owns a house made $100k in the last 4 years.

IDK I believe it at least.

Another way to look at it is while house prices have gone up, peoples' ability to save and invest has gone down due to interest rates, increased rent prices, awful inflation in general, layoffs, etc.

Owning a house automatically puts you >34% of the US population overall and that number can be much higher depending on age

In places where real estate is expensive, like California and NY, the rate of home ownership is more like 50%

The closest thing I can find is this. "2022 median" data btw. In 2019 the disparity was $255k vs $6.4k.
