Ever take a break from working? Maybe planning on it?

Most people go into the workforce in their 20s and commit to the idea of working non-stop (using vacations and sick days to cope) until their late 50s or even 60s.

Unless your job is seasonal or something, gone are the days of any meaningfully long break like you would look forward to every Summer.

I've worked in my industry (multiple companies though) for nearly 7 years now. No debts, enough money to live frugally for probably 4-5 years without any actual income. The idea of just taking off and pharking around for 6 months is enticing. Yeah yeah, you have to re-enter the workforce and interview eventually... but that half a year of doing whatever the hell you want and no actual commitments sounds like nirvana.
