Supreme Court rules that it's lawful to patent living organisms.


What in the living **** is this ****? Who was on that SC, were they on drugs?

So if I bio engineer a baby with a patented gene for whatever, resistance to something... do I now own the rights or need to get paid X amount at the child's birth?

and if that child has a baby, do I get paid again because it's my patent? So I can own the whole world as everyone gets contaminated by my patent?

Btw, this is already happening with our food supply.

Monsanto invented RoundUp. Then they genetically engineered a RoundUp resistant soy bean, and they patented it. Farmers need to keep buying seeds every year from Monsanto, and if the farmers keep any of their own seeds, it's patent infringement.

Also, if a farmer uses normal seeds, but his neighbor uses monsanto seeds... and the neighbor's monsanto seeds ACCIDENTALLY contaminates your field... you are still responsible for the patent infringement.


What in the **** is all this ****. Overturn this.


I would keep bad mouthing the SC, but at least they had the common sense to overturn Roe V Wade.
