SRS Question for Historycels About Robert E Lee
Why is he remembered so positively as one of the goat American generals?
Never won a battle outside of his home turf of VA.
Wrecked in the largest battles he commanded in Gettysburg, Antietam, Petersburg.
Lost an avg of greater than 20% of his men in major battles due to relentless sieges he couldn’t win.
Almost seems like he was the best player on the union team. What gives?
