Favorite dark/horror/gothic fiction and movies

Never was big into literature in school or college, but the one course I took and actually enjoyed was gothic works or something like that.

Books and short stories I liked were Great Expectations, Castle of Otranto, Fall of the House of Usher, Dracula, Frankenstein, Heart of a Dog. I've read a lot of Lovecraft, some of it is cool, some is kind of boring. Wuthering Heights is a good book, but it's just kind of depressing.

As for film I like the classic Hitchcock Psycho, American Psycho, Blue Velvet, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, Red Dragon, The Shining. TV series I liked Storm of the Century and Bates Motel.
