Initial observations on NEET life

-Setting a sleep schedule is critical. I’m “lucky” to have a toddler that wakes me up at 7:30 every day but making sure to go to bed at a reasonable hour requires a degree of discipline.

- it is WAY more efficient doing things outside peak hours - driving, shopping, cafes - empty roads, fast and quality service, no lines for anything, no crowds, tons of parking.

-Having a midday nap without setting the alarm is life affirming

-it’s important to actually schedule time in for hobbies, otherwise you won’t really get around to them or make any real progress

-Overall I find myself being much more patient, especially with kids, since I can’t really be “late” for anything in the sense of a rigid schedule

- gotta watch the drinking, especially day drinking. I’m trying to limit myself to a glass wine with lunch max, and moderate drinking in the evening

-I found it helps to consciously remember Friday knock off drinks to mark the beginning of the weekend.
