How do people cope with living in houses with driveways facing major roads?

The noise of constant traffic on a consistently busy road would be enough to drive me bonkers in and of itself, but can you imagine having to back out onto a busy road every single time you wanted to leave the house by car? I honestly don't know how people deal with that chit. I'd almost rather give up all my properties return to being a rentcel before signing up for decades of that bs. How do they cope?
