Thinking about buying a new RAM if Toyota buys back my 22 Tundra

One of the rumors with this engine recall is that Toyota might offer the option to buy affected vehicles back, less X cents per mile. If they did, I'd come up pretty damn good on mine.

Seems like every damn truck out there has something wrong with it, but I'm thinking about buying a RAM Rebel. Hopefully before the 2024's dry up, because I've been there/done that being a guinea pig with the first year model/new gen Tundra, and it hasn't been a good time.

Thoughts? I'm really not down with having Joe Blow the Toyota tech rip apart my engine and replace the short block. There's no way the truck will end up the same as it came from the factory.

I never would have thought the day would come that I'm ready to get rid of a Toyota for a Stellantis products…yet here I am.

The only other Toyota I'm really interested in is the 25 4 Runner…but then I'd be right back again to being a first year/new gen guinea pig.
