Chinese rocket lifts off unexpectedly, then explodes



It was supposed to be a static test fire. I.E. they strap the rocket to a pad and then fire the rocket to test its thrust, fuel flow, etc while it stays attached to the ground.

Instead for unknown reasons the rocket separated from the launch pad.
