Wtf at tinder/bumble
whats going on guys RB here with another quality thread
today we discuss the dating market in the context of dating apps, such as bumble and tinder. almost all dating apps are owned by one company and these apps are being used with an algorithm. said algorithm's goal is to make money, not match people up, as a successful match is -2 customers for the business of X dating app.
now, I believe these algorithms make you feel like chit about yourself. they make you feel ugly and lonely, which makes you more likely to spend more money on a subscription. the use of push notifications is a form of pavlovian conditioning.
anyway, I signed up for tinder and bumble. have a funny bio and good pictures. tons of matches and then when I make a move, unmatched. this has never happened before. had much success last year.
what gives? is it over for me bros? how did I go from chad to thad
edit: bumble is especially chitty because females no longer have to message first. subscription costs are also based on age on bumble. it cost me like 19.99 for a week of premium, whereas people who are younger have to pay less. the algorithm has identified that people in my age range (lates 20s, early 30s) are more likely to be desperate and will most likely pay for a subscription, no matter the cost.
women truly have ruined it for the rest of us, am i rite gaiz
