Anthropic is hiring with ridicolous salary
Anthropic has many open roles on its site for engineers, managers and data scientists. Salaries are ridiculously high. For a Software Engineer with API Experience, Remote-Friendly (Travel-Required) with “at least 7 years building production full-stack software with a focus on usability” salary range is $300,000—$405,000 USD.
They are not requesting an high skill specific to AI, why should they offer such a high salary? Other roles are similar or higher, even if no specific AI skills are requested.
Why do they offer so much for a common job? Is this real or just a form of advertisement?
For those unaware, they are the ones behind Claude AI backed by AMZ

Probably real, and common in big tech
Best lifts:
Bench press: 315x5
Squat: 465x1
Strict press: 205x5
Deadlift: 405x13 (conv tap'n'go with straps)
