Question for Misc chefs or Jews.

Any oven experts will work.

I baked some potatoes. Washed, poked holes, salted, olive oiled, foil wrapped, 2 hours in the oven at 425.

Turned out well, that isn't the issue. The issue is a bunch of olive oil must have leaked out and smoked up the oven. The foil looked completely intact so I'm not sure how the olive oil got out. Thoughts?

It didn't. Olive oil has a low smoke point. You burned the fuk out of the oil and ate straight polymerized cancer. Next time use avocado oil.

It did though, I saw it on the bottom of the oven.

And it continued to smoke when I baked other things so it was definitely there.
