Saw some buddies of mine recently from when I ran equity portfolios at Goldman. You know, stuff rich people do. Usually get together a few times a year, talk about our high net worths, our multiple investment properties, tax strategies, etc. Anyway it was after dinner at Dorsia and we made our way back to the Diamond Room. I know the owner well and tip handsomely. We were all sitting in the Diamond Room on leather furniture, my buddy Blake who runs investment banking, “Seabass” (Sebastian) who runs equity long short, Rupert who I went to Phillips Exeter with and did crew. Rupert runs statistical arbitrage. And my buddy Montgomery who was a currency trader. Monte use to empty the pockets of anyone on the other side of his trades, a real prick and ballbuster.

Anyway Monte and Rupert were telling me about the Latverian who I guess was a real sumbish back in his heyday. Only wore double breasted suits. Smoked in his office and drank whiskey. Nailed all of his secretaries. This sumbish got away with it because of all the money he made for the firm.

We all laughed and had a Cohiba, talked about our trophy wives and made fun of renters. LOL, it’s great to be an Aristocrat.
